Returned rough drafts of persuasive essay/speech and discussed. Take notes from board on effective speeches. Make sure you address the other side and refute that point of view. Examples: skateboarding, cell phone use in school, country music. Don’t rant at the beginning. Say something interesting and draw in your listener then get to your main point.
